If I use a regular DVD recorder to record a High Definition program, off of Discovery HD, will it come out HD? - high definition dvd recorder
I can not afford a Blu-ray drive or a high deffinition, but I wonder what would happen if you used a standard DVD burner. Can HD or regular? And I really want to 1080th And my cable HD discs on a hard drive. Can I burn a DVD as usual? What can I do? My cable recorder is filled with episodes from the earth and do not delete them.

in high definition will be visible if your DVD recorder that has an HDMI output connected to the TV.
Not sure about the exact answer to your question because I do not know the specifications of the DVD, but I can say that the programming is not HD 1080p, 720p. The only way is / was the 1080p is Blu-Ray and HD-DVD.
